Solution Base Social Crime & Youth Development is a register nonprofit (094-856-NPO) committed to reducing crime by investing in children, Families, young people and strengthening community connections. 
We provide Adult Diversion,  and youth mentorship that builds confidence, life skills, and positive decision-making. Through practical crime-prevention workshops, we help residents recognize risks, resolve conflict, and create safer neighborhoods. 

Our community outreach initiatives connect families to trusted resources-education support, counseling, and local services-so no one has to navigate challenges alone. Together with caring mentors, partners, and volunteers, we empower youth and families to thrive and create lasting change.

Youth Mentorship Programs

The primary objective of a youth mentorship program is to empower young people by fostering supportive, trusted relationships with positive role models to boost their confidence, life skills, academic success, and future opportunities. Programs aim to guide personal development, improve emotional resilience, and aid in navigating complex social or career transitions One-on-one and group mentoring that builds leadership, confidence, and positive life choices.  Synonyms & Related Objectives: Goal: Empowerment, social mobility, and skill enhancement. Focus: Youth development, mentoring support, coaching, guidance, and counseling

Adult Diversion

The primary objective of the adult diversion program is to divert eligible individuals (usually first-time or low-risk offenders) away from the formal criminal justice system—and the associated punitive consequences—towards rehabilitative, community-based programmes. By doing so, it aims to reduce recidivism, alleviate pressure on the courts, and prevent the long-term stigmatization and employment barriers associated with a criminal record.Interactive sessions on conflict resolution, personal safety, and community responsibility for youth and adults.

WCED@HomeLearning Programme

Trained and deployed youth from the Genadendal, Greyton, and Caledon as Youth Community Edu-facilitators. They assist learners from from Primary schools with their homework, afterschool have Edu-fun games with learners and making sure learners are in school every day.

Crime Prevention: School Holiday Programme

The objective of a school holiday program is to provide a safe, supervised environment that keeps children constructively engaged during breaks, protecting them from negative social influences while offering educational stimulation, recreational activities, and nutritional support. These programs foster holistic development, community cohesion, and skill maintenance when schools are closed.

Parent and Caregiver Workshops

The parent and caregiver workshops aim to empower parents and primary caregivers of young children with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide nurturing, responsive care and early stimulation in home-based settings. These workshops seek to improve child developmental outcomes, particularly in communities, by fostering positive parenting techniques and enhancing the overall quality

School Safety and Crime Prevention

The primary objective of the School Safety and Crime Prevention Awareness Programme at schools is to ensure a safe, orderly, and crime-free environment conducive to teaching and learning. It aims to prevent, manage, and respond to crime and violence in schools through collaborative partnerships between the Department of Basic Education (DBE), the South African Police Service (SAPS), and local communities. Prevent and Combat Crime: To eliminate substance abuse, bullying (including cyber-bullying), sexual offences, and possession of dangerous weapons in schools. Raise Awareness: Educate learners on the dangers of crime and promote responsible choices. Promote Safety: Create safe, caring, and child-friendly institutions. Implement Early Interventions: Proactively address the root causes of criminality and build resilience in youth against offending behaviour.
